CV & EXPERIENCE
TOPSHOP
My time at Topshop—through both the Arcadia and ASOS chapters—has been a rewarding and formative experience. I’ve contributed to key softs categories, supported the development of standout product, and played a part in shaping some of the brand’s defining moments. Along the way, I’ve strengthened my ability to juggle multiple deadlines, create thoughtful designs, and work closely with buying, planning, and technical teams to bring ideas to life. Building relationships with factories, communicating clearly, and travelling internationally for inspiration and sourcing have all been important parts of the process. In my role, I also supported team productivity by guiding assistants and freelancers. Under Arcadia, I worked across categories like dresses, jumpsuits, skirts, blouses, and shorts, often collaborating with senior leadership on brand direction. From initial sketch to final tech pack, and sourcing prints, trims, and fabrics globally—each stage has deepened my appreciation for the design process. Topshop has played a big role in my growth as a designer.
URBAN OUTFITTERS
Urban Outfitters was a pivotal chapter in my career—where my passion for design truly took shape. Shifting from clean to laundered, technical finishes deepened my love for fabric, process, and detail. I played a key role in driving department sales across dresses, skirts and blouses, developing bestsellers that moved over 20k units and helped boost category sales year-on-year. As Senior Softs Designer, I led a small team, guiding their growth while spearheading trend concepts and seasonal color direction, presenting ideas company-wide and to senior leadership. I created hand sketches and detailed tech packs that brought cohesive, cost-effective collections to life. My role took me around the world—from the US and Europe to South Korea, India, China, and Hong Kong—for both inspiration and product development. I collaborated closely with technical teams on CLO fittings, partnered with buying and merch, and completed sustainability training with the Centre for Sustainable Fashion. My time at Urban was transformative—it honed my eye, deepened my purpose, and refined my craft.
LOST INK
Lost Ink marked my first move from supplier to branded design—a huge milestone that shaped me both creatively and professionally. I worked across a wide product range, from softs and denim to tailoring and jersey, gaining valuable versatility. I led the design of the first Lost inK Plus collection, which successfully launched on major global platforms like Zalando, ASOS, Wehkamp, Shop Direct, and Bloomingdale’s by SS18. I helped shape the brand’s identity, driving seasonal trends, color palettes, and print stories across both core and plus-size lines. I also mentored the Assistant Designer in the plus-size team, supporting her promotion to Junior Designer within two years. Being part of a bold, forward-thinking startup with such an inspiring team made it an unforgettable and foundational experience.
SUPPLY SIDE
I began my career on the supply side, where I gained a deep understanding of the manufacturing process and built a strong foundation in design. Working with renowned suppliers like Misfit, Bluenile, and Basic Thinking, I designed for high-street giants including Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Lipsy London, and New Look. I developed strong relationships with buying teams, pattern rooms, and senior stakeholders—honing my ability to present key items, best-selling updates, and trend-led collections with confidence. I had the exciting opportunity to work on high-profile celebrity ranges for Michelle Keegan, Fleur East, and Ariana Grande, contributing to strong sell-through results. I also built close partnerships with production teams in Romania and Sri Lanka, as well as global suppliers—sourcing innovative fabrics and trims to bring fresh ideas to life. These early years gave me a solid grounding in both creativity and commerciality
FREELANCE
My time as a freelance fashion designer was a short chapter—but one that left a lasting imprint on me. I had the joy of collaborating with suppliers, visionary startup brands, and the incredible RTW luxury house Dundas. Acting as a brand consultant, I guided clients through every stage of the design and sampling process—building out full collection plans, crafting inspiring trend packages, and delivering standout product that stayed true to each brand’s identity and vision. I just loved being able to adapt to each and every brief, every client, every creative challenge—it lit a spark in me. That period wasn’t just fulfilling, it was formative. It reminded me why I love this industry: the storytelling, the problem-solving, the creativity. And it's that same feeling that’s pulling me back now—back into the freelance world.
Leeds based independant brands
Straight out of university, I began my journey in fashion as a seamstress for independent brands—a chapter that grounded me in craft and creativity. My first role was with a local sustainable label, where I hand-sewed all their leggings from my tiny home studio. Being part of their intimate production team and working so closely with such a creative design space was an experience I cherished. I then joined Best Leeds, a small streetwear brand, where I started by tailoring vintage pieces—breathing new life into them with refined fits. That role quickly evolved, and I began designing their reworked vintage collections, as well as crafting capsule ranges using locally sourced fabrics. It was such a formative time—deeply creative, hands-on, and community-driven. I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of these inspiring small businesses that were doing big things with heart and purpose.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
I had my work published in ‘The Fundamentals of Fashion Management’ book, I was the winner of the Best Emerging Designer in Manchester at The Spring Fashion Show for my university collection and was also the runner up for the ethical fashion forum’s innovation award. Judges included the editor of Vouge.com.
